Welcome to the Leatherworker website. I am Terry O'Brien "The Leatherworker " or " Leathersmith" as sometimes defined , and being a leatherworker for about 33 years people will say that I am a professional but then that's for you to decide. This site has many photo's of my work / hobby and a few stories and descriptions about the carving Projects that I have completed, I would have to say that my favorite type of projects are in the fields of " Leather carving / tooling / leather embossing " , "Holsters & Gunbelts " , " Miniature Saddles " , " and "Toolbags " for Harley Davidson motorcycles and trikes.
There is nothing like sitting back and admiring your leather carving and embossing work when it runs to plan, and the smell of the leather and skin in the completed project is like no other!!... everyone must have at some time taken a whiff of a new leather coat and thought mmmmm that leather smell is great.
Well enuff dribble about me, I hope you enjoy my work. PS: I only use cowhide and or leather/skins from vegetarian cows
